In light of the recent Coronavirus pandemic, we are taking extra precautions to ensure that our patients remain safe and healthy during their visits to our clinic.
If you or a household member are experiencing a cough, fever, shortness of breath, or other cold-or flu-like symptoms, OR if you have potentially come in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, OR if you have traveled to a country/region that has tested positive for the Coronavirus in the last 3 weeks, please make sure to inform our office when you contact us to schedule or reschedule an appointment.
Our practice has been actively monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on our patient care and office protocols. Our highest priority is to continue providing excellent dermatology care in a safe environment for our patients and staff. We have become convinced that we need to “flatten the curve” of the spread of the virus through social distancing. Our offices will remain open and fully operational, providing our full range of services for the foreseeable future.
Telehealth: We have launched a Telehealth Platform to provide patient care for all eligible patients. This service is available for both new and established patients for conditions such as Acne, Dermatitis, Eczema, Psoriasis, Rash, and any other medically necessary concerns. Our physicians will also be able to evaluate you if you require medication and/or if you need medication adjustments. Telehealth visits will be billed to insurance as an office visit. Colorado law now requires insurance plans to cover Telehealth visits as they would an “in-office” visit, including usual copay and deductible requirements. If you are already scheduled for a visit, and think that your concerns can be addressed by Telehealth, contact our office to convert your visit to a Telehealth visit or reschedule as needed. If you have not yet scheduled but would like to, please call us at (970) 667-3116.
For any patients who do need to come into our office, please be advised of the following measures we are taking to ensure our collective health and well-being:
Screening: When each patient checks in for his/her appointment. If you answer “yes” to any of the following questions, we ask that you CALL our office to reschedule your appointment and please refrain from entering our clinic:
- Do you or anyone in your immediate family have a fever of 100.4 or greater?
- Do you or anyone in your immediate family have a respiratory infection, cough, or shortness of breath?
Limited Contact: We are significantly limiting the number of patients scheduled each day in our offices so that we can allow for social distancing space between patients.
Patients: Please bring only yourself to the visit, if possible. If the patient is a minor, one adult guardian must accompany the patient unless an Authorization for Treatment of Minor form is completed and sent with the patient.
Cleaning & Disinfecting: We have enacted even more frequent cleaning and disinfecting standards throughout our office, above and beyond normal OSHA standards.
We are committed to keeping our patients healthy through this challenging time. Our team is actively monitoring and assessing developments in the control of Coronavirus. We will provide updates of our clinic’s policies as we have more information.
We look forward to seeing you soon and are committed to continuing our excellent dermatological care in a safe environment during this challenging time. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Ideal Dermatology
