IPL FotoFacial
IPL FotoFacial skin treatment works by stimulating deeper tissues of the skin with concentrated light. This is an ideal treatment for a variety of skin conditions including:
- acne scars
- rosacea
- broken capillaries
- hyperpigmentation
- sun damage
- facial flushing
- age spots
- red birthmarks
It involves a nonablative (less aggressive) laser that is specifically calibrated to seek out specific pigments in the skin, while leaving the surrounding skin untreated. A pulse of intense light penetrates the skin with a sensation like that of a snapping rubber band against the skin's surface. This treatment will reduce or remove areas with the target pigmentation.
There may be some initial redness of the skin for a period of several hours. This can be covered up using a light cosmetic foundation. The appearance of the skin will improve with time after the treatment.
Each treatment lasts from 15-20 minutes and you are free to go about your daily routine immediately following the procedure. It is likely that multiple sessions of this treatment will be required to obtain the best results.
